“Keep Your Head UP”

Bishop, Dr. W. F. Houston, Jr.
You know Beloved, every now and then we can focus too much on our sinfulness and immorality.
Every now and then we get trapped in a state of remorse, and we go into a state of hopelessness over our past sins.
Or, every now and then we start worrying about our current weakness, and we beat ourselves up over it.
Beloved, if you’re there, “it’s ok”, acknowledge it, confess it and repent of those things!!! Beloved, don’t stay there, don’t live in the past, and don’t dwell on them. No matter what you’ve done, no matter what labels you have, stop staring at those things, they no longer define you if you believe!!!
Beloved, Jesus defines you now, so focus on Him. Not yourself, not your sins, not the past. And those present weaknesses you face? He’s making you more like Himself daily, by the power of His Spirit. So, look to His strength, not your weakness.
It’s ok to focus on the good things in life, and there’s none better to focus on than the Lord.
“So Keep Your Head UP”.

“Eclipse-Sign of End Times or Not”

Praise the Lord Beloved.

I want to weigh in on the event of the Cosmological Eclipse that is happening today.
Many believe that this is the sign of the end times. But if you go back to
the last total eclipse visible from the contiguous United States was on a June 8th, 1918, and
many said that was the sign of end times.
Now, there are many biblical passages that are connected to end-times events with a cosmological marvel. The moon, sun, meteors, stars and obscure coverings (eclipse) are cited, linking Bible prophecies. For example, in Luke 21:25 Jesus was asked when the end times would occur, Jesus said, “There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars.” Beloved, it’s normal that, whenever bizarre or infrequent planetary spectacles occur, many are curious if the end times are imminent.
But, we must remember that the Bible warns us about making “precise” predictions about the exact time of Jesus’ return. Now, don’t get me wrong here, Jesus will return!!! There’s no doubt in my mind that He’s on His way back. Romans 13:12 says: “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here”.
You see, right before Jesus returned to Heaven, He told His disciples that one day He would come back to launch His Kingdom. But, before that could happen, He told them that certain things had to happen.
And actually, we’re seeing many of those things happing now. Let me give you a quick example of what I am talking about: For example, in Mark 13. Jesus said that before He comes back, it’s necessary that the Gospel be preached all over the world. Beloved, at no time in the past, has this been conceivable!!! But it’s happening now. The Word of God is being preached everywhere, it’s on the radio all over the internet and many other contemporary communication platforms.
And there is one more sign Jesus mentioned. Satan’s last effort to stop God’s labor with an enormous ambush of malicious attacks. Sure, evil isn’t a stranger to our world. We all know that Satan has constantly worked hard to halt God’s crusades. But, the difference between now and the past, is God’s adversaries have an entry to the contemporary weapons of mass destruction. And the bad part about it is no one can foresee what the result will be. Jesus also said in Mark 13 and Matthew 24: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. … Nation will rise against nation”.
But the real question that we should be asking is: “ARE WE READY FOR HIS RETURN?” Beloved, this is a question that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Let me tell you, eclipses and “blood moons” has always fueled end-time madness. Some people attach Matthew 24:29 to a planetary eclipse with the end times. But if you read Isaiah 13:10 it says: The heavens will be black above them; the stars will give no light.”
Beloved, during a cosmological eclipse, the sun is implicitly dark and the light that is usually mirrored by the moon is absent. Also, during a total eclipse, the light that is usually mirrored by the moon decreases immensely. So, yes, there does seem to be a possible connection between an eclipse and the end times.
But, what I’m trying to get across to all believing readers, is that there’s no way to precisely link any certain eclipse with the nirvana of end-time prediction. And to tell you the truth, eclipses are really, pretty common. A total cosmological eclipse occurs someplace on earth about once every 1 ½ years, and partial cosmological eclipses occurring quite a few times a year. Total eclipses occur almost every year in a lot of places in the world.
Beloved, after Jesus spoke those words that are documented in Matthew 24, there have been thousands of total and partial, cosmological and planetary eclipses. And as you can see up to this day, not one of them has appeared to have had any implication to end-times Bible prophecy. So, really there’s no way to know if a particular forthcoming eclipse will have a link to the end times.
Now, many who predict these Biblical events, don’t tell “THE REST OF THE STORY.
It’s imperative that we look at what Jesus said in Matthew 24, which is recognized as the “Olivet Discourse.”
Beloved, the possible eclipse is just one of numerous signs that Jesus references. Here’s verse 29 in its entirety: 2 “Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.”
I have found that most people focus on the dark sun and the moon, but they have a tendency, to disregard the stars falling and the planets shaking. Also, Beloved, Jesus specifies that this sign will come “instantly after the suffering (anguish),” That actually references us to the abomination of desolation in verse 15.
Verse 21 tells us that this will be a time when “there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again”. As a matter of fact, verse 22 says it will be very appalling during that time. It says: “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive”. Beloved, right here, it tells us that this will not be a regular eclipse that Jesus is talking about. It will be one that occurs in the middle of the tribulation with a multitude of other signs. It will be the worst time of trouble the world has ever seen.
I also want to remind you of what Jesus said in Matthew 24:36: Jesus said, no one knows the day or hour of His return. S0, since eclipses can be determined to the very second, one would think that an eclipse cannot be the exact time frame for Christ to return. So, for now, everyone’ inquisitiveness about when the rapture will transpire, or who the Antichrist will be, or when the tribulation begins, or exactly what is the abomination of desolation, will have to continue to be unfulfilled at this time.
You know, the Apostle Peter has given us gives some great advice about the end times. In 2 Peter 3:11-12 he says: “ Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames”.
Beloved, it isn’t until we see these things occur that we’ll see the new creation, Verse 13 says:
“a world filled with God’s righteousness.”
Beloved, I’m sure many of you like myself are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth that have been promised to us. I’m speaking of a world jam-packed with God’s righteousness. Beloved as we wait for Christ’s return we must activate our life in Christ, according to the will of God, which means living spiritually correct and with eagerness for His return. Let me tell you, frustrating yourself trying to analyze or estimate when the of end-times events will occur by constructed cosmological wonders, isn’t what the Bible informs us to dwell on.
God Bless you and have a great evening.

“Cease Condemnation”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀

It is Friday and another weekend is upon us.

Beloved, as we go into this weekend let us be mindful of one another’s feelings. There are many people that absolutely despise someone, there are many people that are calling someone an outcast, and there are many people that are looking down on someone.
Beloved, life is too short to hold grudges and have animosity over something that may have happened many years ago. Many people have changed their life and lifestyle. But there are many people that don’t allow people to change!!! They consciously hold them captive to their past. Come on be truthful, you know who you are.
But now allow me to ask you a question right here: Did Jesus condemn the woman that was brought to Him by the religious leaders for her act of adultery. What about the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s Well? Let me remind you that this woman was ostracized and marked as immoral (by her own people), an unmarried woman living openly with her sixth man. Did Jesus condemn her? Of course not!!!
Beloved, no one absolutely no one can live in the past. Many people (after their life has been transformed-renewed, and given salvation) are “very remorseful for their previous life of immoral experiences. So why continue to attempt to stomp them when they have been given salvation and they have changed their immoral clothing for moral attire.
Many people haven’t seen some people in a long time. So, they try to hold them to the old life. Beloved, you know a tree by the fruit it bears. Many of you out there who are saved now, was a sinner in some point of your life and God granted you salvation. If God did it for you why can’t He do it for them? His Grace and Mercy is for everyone. So, this weekend, don’t condemn someone on what you use to know about them.
Beloved, God loves us despite our bankrupt lives. God values us enough to actively seek us, to welcome us to intimacy, and to rejoice in our worship. So, this weekend, let’s do our best to perceive people as God perceives them, not as they use to be!!! The Word tells us to lift one another up, inspire one another, and let the Lord handle the vengeance.
Have a blessed Weekend Everyone.

No Condemnation

“Walk in The Spirit”

“Walk in The Spirit”

Galatians 5:16
This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Praise the Lord Beloved!!!
Happy Friday… and another weekend is upon us.

Beloved, this weekend be sure to walk in the spirit. That will be the key to overcoming the flesh.
If you follow the reassurance the Spirit of God provides you, you won’t be dominated by the pressure your flesh tries to put on you.

As you listen to the written Word and the Holy Spirit telling you what to do, you’ll constantly be making little adjustments in your life according to what He says. And those little adjustments will keep the darkness from overtaking you.

You see Beloved, God knows just what you need. He can look ahead in your life and see the traps and pressures the devil is laying for you. So this weekend follow the Holy Spirit’s leading and He will maneuver you safely around them to victory.

May your weekend be blessed in the Lord.

Its Friday

Are You in Position?

Today’s Scripture Reading:

Exodus 34:10

Praise the Lord Beloved.

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

Beloved, if you’re going to reach your maximum potential in the natural, you’ll need to have spiritual doors open for you that you can’t open on your own. You’re going to need upgrades, favorable opportunities, Godly connections and God’s service which is greater than what you’ve seen in the past.

You know in the book of Exodus God said: “I will perform great wonders that I have not done anywhere before in all the world. People will see what great things I can do because of the awesome things I’m about to do for you.” Now just think about that for a moment and let it form a solid foundation in your spirit.

Beloved, God is saying, “I’m going to do something awesome in your life.” The word AWESOME means “Breathtaking, Tremendous, Extraordinary, Amazing.” But you know I find that the key is actually found in the very next verse (V.11). It says, “Obey what I have commanded.”

Beloved, God’s ready to fulfill your life with His promises, and we have to do our part to allow His promises to emerge. When we do things God’s way, we get God’s results. When we follow His Word, He promises to bless us with life, health, peace, and joy.

Beloved, are you in a position to receive His promises?

Have a blessed Wednesday Everyone.
